Mercedes-Benz
280 SE 3.5

The Vehicle in Detail
When Paul Bracq was tasked with designing a Coupé and a Cabriolet for the top-of-the-line W111 series at Mercedes‑Benz, he did not underdeliver.
What an elegant car it became. The four‑door sedan on which it is based is only recognizable from the front, every other detail was changed apart from the wheelbase. The result was an elegant design that would become his masterpiece.
This particular 280SE 3.5 was imported from France and is one of only 3,270 cars produced during its lifespan. It was one of the last hand‑built Mercedes‑Benz models to leave the factory, apart from the 600 Grosser.
The opulent interior reflects the effort and craftsmanship required to produce this coupé — a level rarely found in today’s automobiles. While not on par with Rolls‑Royce in prestige, in fit, finish, and overall quality it often surpassed it.
Our example was ordered new in the beautiful Sand Beige Metallic (DB467) that perfectly shows off the lines of Paul Bracq’s Coupé.
Ordered new for a member the Iraqi Government in 1971 it remained in caring hands with invoices in excess of €85.000, in the last 20 years.
Our Coupé is ready to be driven and no expense has been spared.
If you are looking for a perfect car to take that special someone on romantic roadtrip you just need to put the AC on cold and drive towards the sunset. Luggage won't be a problem so its the perfect classic car.
