The Joker at Fuori Concorso

From St. Moritz to Lake Como: A journey through Porsche’s most exclusive creations.

The journey began at The Automobile Store, where anticipation was already building for an extraordinary Porsche gathering. From there, we set off towards St. Moritz to join a select group of exclusive Porsche models for the launch of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic, the 992-generation interpretation of one of the marque’s most celebrated heritage icons.

Organised by Fuori Concorso, the rally brought together a remarkable selection of Porsche creations, celebrating the diversity, craftsmanship and individuality that have shaped the brand’s history. From elegant classics to bold modern interpretations, every car offered a different perspective on Porsche design and engineering.

After the St. Moritz gathering, the route continued towards Como, where the Fuori Concorso event unfolded at the magnificent Villa del Grumello. Set among the gardens overlooking Lake Como, the villa provided a spectacular setting for a celebration of automotive creativity. It was here that we displayed the Joker on the lawn, surrounded by some of the most distinctive Porsche models ever produced.

Strolling through the paradise gardens towards Villa del Grumello, the concept cars gradually gave way to the fantastic creations of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. These cars demonstrated the extraordinary level of personalisation available to Porsche customers, proving that individuality has always been an essential part of the marque’s identity.

Blending in between museum pieces

Among the many remarkable cars on display, one of my favourites was undoubtedly our Porsche 911 Carrera 4 from the 996 generation, affectionately known as The Joker. Its name is perfectly suited to its unconventional appearance. The car features a striking purple leather interior, highlighted by contrasting green stitching and matching green wooden inserts throughout the cabin. These distinctive details extend across the dashboard, door panels, gear lever and steering wheel, creating an interior unlike any other Porsche.

This particular 911 is said to remain a reference point for training Porsche personnel when discussing the possibilities of the Exclusive Manufaktur programme. It illustrates just how far the brand’s bespoke division can go when imagination is allowed to take the lead.

Today, The Joker belongs to a collection made up entirely of similarly daring and highly individual cars. Together, they represent a fascinating side of Porsche—one that moves beyond traditional notions of restraint and embraces bold colours, unusual materials and truly personal design.

From the mountain roads of St. Moritz to the peaceful shores of Lake Como, the journey was more than a drive between two destinations. It was a celebration of Porsche’s past, present and future, brought together through the vision of Fuori Concorso and the limitless creativity of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
